The Charity Newsies mission

Our mission is that no child be kept out of school for lack of adequate clothing. Newsies completes that mission by purchasing new apparel and distributing it free of charge to school children in Franklin County, Ohio.

Thanks to the support of the citizens of Franklin County, Charity Newsies clothed over 14,000 school children in the 2008 – 2009 School Year!

Charity Newsies Operations 2008-09 School Year

Charity Newsies is closed for the school year and will resume operations in September 2009. However, if you have an emergency, please see your child’s School Social Worker.

Charity Newsies is coming to a library near you

Charity Newsies will again take applications at your local Columbus Metropolitan Library Branch in the fall of 2009. Watch this space for dates and locations.
